Upcoming Global Financial Events: October 13–18, 2025

The annual Fall Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank will take place from October 13 to 18, 2025. Beyond these major institutional gatherings, investors are also preparing for a busy week filled with key economic reports and high-profile policy speeches.

Next Tuesday, the IMF will release its Global Financial Stability Report and its World Economic Outlook, both of which are expected to provide crucial insights into the health of the global economy. In addition, statements from G7 and G20 finance ministers attending the meetings will be closely monitored by markets worldwide.

On the U.S. side, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is scheduled to speak next Tuesday about the economic outlook and monetary policy, a speech that could influence global risk sentiment. Several other Fed officials including Governor Christopher Waller, Vice Chair Michael Barr, Governor Mehran, and various regional Fed presidents are also expected to deliver remarks throughout the week.

Finally, on Wednesday, the Fed will publish its well-known “Beige Book”, offering an updated snapshot of economic conditions across the United States, based on reports from its regional branches.

Together, these events will likely shape market sentiment in the coming days, as investors balance expectations for monetary easing against persistent concerns about global growth and inflation.
